If you want someone to take permanent ownership of sales, signalrev will disappoint you. I work with B2B founders who want their business to keep selling without depending on them. We build the revenue operating system around their actual deals. The engagement needs an owner who will keep running it afterwards.
A business can have customers and enough money to buy help. The work can still be the wrong fit.
Winning the first customers yourself gives you knowledge worth keeping. You know which conversations moved and where buyers hesitated. The problem often starts when another person needs to use that knowledge.
signalrev helps make it usable beyond the founder. We inspect the current motion and work on what needs to change. The owner inside your business then has something to run and improve.
If you want an outside operator to manage sales indefinitely, buy that service. Ongoing management can be the right choice for your business. We should establish that choice before building a system nobody intends to own.
Once ownership is clear, we need access to what happens in real deals. A polished description of the process gives us only your intended version.
The useful detail is often less comfortable. A call ends without a buyer decision. Someone moves a deal forward after a friendly reply, and the team uses a phrase each person reads differently.
Those are things we can work on together. They become harder to find when the engagement runs entirely through summaries.
You control what you share. We agree the access needed for the work before it begins. Where that access is unavailable, we need to narrow the scope or choose another form of help.
The purpose of looking is to find whether there is a gap worth fixing. A sales leader may already own a method your team uses. Reviews may lead to decisions that someone checks the following week.
In that situation, another system could add work without improving sales. A narrower problem may deserve specialist help. You may also be better off keeping the current method running.
Before Monday, ask the person who owns sales to explain why your last three customers bought. Then compare their answer with yours. A disagreement gives you something specific to inspect. Agreement alone does not prove the whole system works, but it clears one useful question.
You should be able to see a good result in the weekly review. The owner can explain a deal's next decision without the founder supplying the missing context. Evidence from the buyer changes what the team does next.
This week's posts explore the handover to that owner and the evidence they need.
